Alwal Civil Society sensitises GHMC of colony issues
GAASA Team in Alwal met the Dy Commissioner, GHMC in the Prajavani programme and informed him of long pending problems being faced by Alwal Citizens. The DC was very pleased to receive the consolidated representation of the civic issues covering 133, 134 and 135 Divisions. The GAASA Team comprising of Dr G V Rao, Mr Upender Goud, Mr Venkatratnam, Mr Mathur, Mr Solomon Raj, Mr Ramchandraiah mentioned a number of issues to be resolved at the earliest, i.e. before June 2019 end.
The Dy Commissioner along with Mrs Madhavi, ACP, TPS, Mr Virat AE of Engineering Section, Mr Jalendhar of Sanitary Department and others from GHMC Alwal took note of the problems and assured to take effective measures.
World Environment Day
World Environment Conference 2019 in Pragati Maidaan, New Delhi
A three-day World Environment Conference organized in Pragati Maidan by the Green Society of India, an exhibition displayed items related to fighting the air pollution. Delivering his opening address the Chairman of the RWA Federation Ghaziabad Col Tejandra Pal Tyagi said that the most effective means of fighting the deadliest part of Air Pollution – the PM 2.5- is to carry out Vertical Gardening on Metro Pillars and the Pillars of the Flyowers on a war footing. In this largely attended conference many other luminaries and renowned activists of the RWA Movement shared their views.
Anand Bagh Sr. Citizens Forum celebrates WED
The Forum observed the 'World Environment Day' at its Day Care Center (Adarshnagar Library). Birthday celebrations of its members falling in the month of June were also held and they were felicitated with Tulasi saplings. Shri B Pentaiah, President, presided over the meeting, while Sri S. Sreedhar, Secretary explained the importance of protecting the environment and the role of senior citizens in it.

Mahabubabad
In Mahabubabad the WED was observed by Sri. G Eswara Lingam, Warangal Co-ordinator Sri. Ashok and members Ravi and Prasanth at Pandem forest, near Pakal River, Kothaguda mandal, Mahabubabad District in Telangana. On this occasion Sri. M. Laxma Reddy asked not to burn the dead bodies and avoid pollution, and instead to donate dead bodies to the nearest medical College for making best use of the bodies by the medical Students.
